The Moon in Canada

At midnight, when I looked through the window in my room, I saw the bright and circular moon in the dark sky. The moonlight brightened the land. I also saw a man who was working in the moon. Nothing had changed. It was still the same moon that I often saw in my home city - Hong Kong.

When I was small, I usually heard people said that the foreign moon was more beautiful than the home city moon. Indeed, I did not know its actual meaning. I had to go to the foreign country and see if the moon was more beautiful than the one in my country. After I grew up, I finally got the answer. People said that because they thought foreign countries are rich, and everything must be good, even the moon. Of course, there is the only moon that people see around the world, no matter where they are.

I had been living in Canada for half of a year. It is amazing how quickly. It meant that I left my home six months ago. In the past few months, I did not even have a glance at moon. Perhaps, I had a lot of schoolwork to do. I did not have time to think and see other things. Perhaps, I was still enjoying my new life in Canada. I spent much of time learning new things, such as getting the driving license. However, tonight, I feel sick. It was not a minor sickness. It was somewhat serious because it was homesickness. I could not describe my feeling to you at that moment. I just knew the fact that my heart was uncomfortably beating. I looked at the moon and I smiled. I smiled because I saw my parents and my friends who were waving their hands at me, at if they were standing in the front of me.

Tonight, I feel alone. I looked at the moon, and then I closed my eyes. My brain still emerged the image of the moon. I was keeping closing my eyes and I smiled again, because I could see my home city moon. It was still the bright moon. I opened my eyes. I saw the moon still suspended in the sky of Canada.
