Money is considered to be the most powerful and important thing in our modern lives. It can bring us more material and spiritual entertainment, and meet our desires in many ways. So, working to earn money is natural. But earning money shouldn't be the unique aim of working. I believe that people should enjoy what they do.

First, working can provide us with chances to achieve our ideals and values, which are the spiritual pillars of our lives. From our childhood, many of us have our own great dreams; such as to be a football star, to be a doctor or to be a teacher. As we grow older, our thoughts gradually mature, and we realize that working is the best way to attain our ideals. It could not be simply replaced by money. If we give up our working, we would feel no significance each day. Many middle-aged people, when retiring from their work, easily suffer from disease. Because, when staying at work, they have feelings of accomplishment; when retiring or leaving from their work, they feel completely worthless. Life doesn't hold any significance. How important working is to us! It keeps us alert and growing, and helps us to maintain our dignity.

Second, working is a process of creation. If we devote ourselves to our work, we would strive to do it better. In this process, it is filled with invention and creation. In our modern lives, many products; such as TVs, telephones, cars, etc, were invented by those who loved their work. It could hardly believe that those who work only to earn money without enjoying their work would do their work better. People will be content and happy if they find work that they can enjoy.

Certainly, money is an important tool, through which we can obtain better education, improve our lives, and help people who need our helps. If what we do is only for money, we might become the slaves to money. Sometimes, to seize more money, we even might use incorrect means, and become criminals. How sad that life would be! Let us not only earn money that we need, but also enjoy our work with more interests and activities. We can become the happiest people in the world.
