Types of PC Games

Many people like to watch TV, participate in sports, read books, chat, and sleep during their leisure time. In my case, I like to spend some of my quality time playing computer games. Before you start buying games, you should know what types of games you are interested in, and the essence of the game offered. In general, PC games can be divided into six categories, such as RPG, strategy, shooting, action, driving, and puzzle. I would like to briefly introduce the two most popular types of games - RPG and strategy.

First of all, I would like to introduce the role-playing game, abbreviated as RPG. In an RPG game you resemble the main character. The character kills to gain experience. When you reach a certain level of experience, a special ability is rewarded. But that's not the main theme of the game. The main theme of the game is what story it has to offer. In my opinion, only a good story can make RPG successful, such as Final Fantasy VIII, Nox, and Diablo II.

Secondly, I would like to talk about strategy games. In a strategy game, you gather the resources, and build the structures to make as many units as you can to defeat the opponents. A good strategy game should include a good variation in units, and abilities. In addition, the ability of each unit should counteract each other. So that the race you choose is both superior and vulnerable to another, and both equal in their technology and force, such as StarCraft.

Different types of games have different characteristics and attractions. But to make a truly enjoyable game it should include good graphics, interface, gameplay, sound FX, and music.
