In my opinion, modern music can be divided into five styles. They are jazz, blues, pop, rock and country. Now, I'm going to talk about something about them.

First, I'm going to describe how they sound like. Jazz is from America, it sounds a little bit fast and happy. Blues is from Africa, it sounds very deep, slow and sad. Pop means popular music and it doesn't have its own style. It could be anything. The original rock music started from early 1960's in America. The first rock band called "Beatles" which is a very famous in the world, and they made such a special kind music which sounds very strong and excited. Country music is from west America, it sounds very soft and beautiful.

Next, I'll be talking about the attitudes of them. People always want to dance with the music when they are listening to jazz, so I can say that jazz is a happy music. There is a reason why blues sounds sad. Long time ago, many African people were taken to America. They had to work very hard everyday, but they even didn't have any freedom. They felt very disappoint to their lives, so they used their own music to say something out. I'm sorry to say that pop music doesn't have any attitudes, and maybe the most important thing for pop is to earn money. The general idea of rock music is to against to those things which is unfair, so it sounds very fast and excited. American western country music is about people's beautiful lives, people play or sing country music to say that they are enjoying their lives.

In a word, music is not business, money or something else. It should be some real things from our hearts. I think this is the real definition of music.
