My Gracious People

I met many people since I came to Vancouver. I have many experiences in dealing with many different people. There is two people who encouraged me to be mature during my stay in Vancouver: Mrs. Grant and Darlene Engleqist. They showed me their kind consistent attitude to me. They seem to enjoy their lives, and have an ability to adjust their any new circumstance. They helped me in words of encouragement and their attitudes in their lives.

Mrs. Grant was my counselor when I studied in New West Minster Secondary High Shool. She is around 35 yeas old and has smile face. Now, she is a vice president in middle school. I spent time with her for two years from grade 11 to grade 12. She treated me as my friend. She always addressed herself to me with a kindly look. When I was grade 11, I had suffering time with being alone and having difficulties with healthy problem. Everyday, I went to her office and said about what I did .It helped me because I felt that I had someone to talk and someone take care of me. Also, she took me to the hospital and helped me with counseling. After I graduated from high school, I phoned to her several times and I still talk with her whenever I am in trouble.

When I came to Vancouver first time, Darlene Engleqist was my host mom for 2 years. She is a mother of three boys and she is used to live with an international student .She was very kind and helpful all the time. When I had a conversation with her every morning with drinking coffee, I improved my English speaking skills. She corrected my English error and taught me Canadian culture. On my 16th birthday, she arranged surprised birthday party with my three friends and I was very impressed. Even though she was very busy, but she never forgets about encouraging me and helped my English studying.

I really appreciate to Mrs. Grant and Darlene Engleqist. They affect to me in many positive ways, and I learned many important things from them. I will not forget about them forever.
