As an international student, you not only need to know how to study, you also you need to know how to spend your free time after school. I would to tell you three ways to spend your free time.

You can spend your free time outside. You can go out with your friends. You can go to club or pub on the weekend but you must be 19 or over otherwise you could not get in. The entrance fee is between 8-12 dollars. When you choose a club, one thing you need to pay attention. There are some homosexual clubs. If you do not feel like to go, you should avoid joining that kind of club.

You can also spend your free time at school. If you want to study after school, the library is a great place to go. The environment of the library is quiet and also there are lots of books available for using. If you want to do some exercise after study, school also have gym that you can join for free. The gym has a weight room, a basketball court and so on. I usually go to play basketball with my classmates every Friday. You can have a really good time there for free.

You can just go home after school. Lots of students spend their free time chatting on the Internet. You can also read some books or study for school. Some people prefer watching TV a lot. That is a good way to improve your English. Also lots of students would like to sleep including myself. You may get homesick when you study aboard. My suggestion is that when you get homesick, go to bed as soon as possible. I think sleep is the best medicine for homesick.
