International Chinese Students

Nowadays, more and more Chinese youth want to continue their studying in other countries after they graduated from their high schools. This has formed an upsurge. To aims at this question, there are two main different comments from parents. Some of them think that going to another country to study is good for youth, and the others don’t think it is a good thing for youth. For these two opinions, each of them has sufficient reasons.

Most parents think this is a good thing because the youth can go to another environment to learn other countries’ culture, improve their English skills and be independent. In China, most families only have one child, so parents also favor their children, even pamper them. Most youth don’t do anything at home and don’t know how to do anything either. Going to another country to study is a good change to help them be independent. Another reason, also the most important thing is China is a developing country; there is a shortage in education, such as the teaching skills, the technique, and equipment. So going to a developed country to study can help the youth learn advanced technique.

There are also main three reasons why the other parents think that going to another country to study is not a good thing for youth. The first reason is the youth’s self-control ability is poor, so parents worry about they will make bad friends and don’t study. Second, for the youth, there are not any stresses in their minds; the only thing that they care is “enjoy their life”. So these parents worry their children spend a lot of money to do the thing good for nothing. The third and the most important reason is the youth is just the age that wants to make boyfriends/girlfriends, and most foreign countries are very open, cohabit is a usual thing. So the parents very worry about it. In fact, there are about 75% youth cohabited after they arrived another country.

Overall, whether or not correct the Chinese youth go to another country to study is a big problem that puzzles the Chinese parents.
