It seems to me that people are never satisfied with what they own due to many
reasons. This is an endless question like “ What is the first? Egg or chicken?”
People are never satisfied and three major evidences to this are that people
complain, feel jealous and long for a better condition.
First, we can see that people are never satisfied because they complain
about every thing all the time. When most people complain it is usually
something like “I wish I did better on the test”, “I wish have that cloth” and
so on. However, people exactly know that it is just like a dream that cannot
be come true. If people are always satisfied with what they have, there is
no desire existed.
Secondly, the point that people feel jealous is a proof that they are not satisfied
with what they have. A good example of this can be seen very near by. As
an instance, a girl in my class had a cell phone and was very proud of it
until another girl bought the latest model. In addition, after seeing that model
she started to complain about her cell phone and then change new model.
As a result, there are around 35,000,000 using cell phones in Korea out of
50,000,000 population.
Lastly, people long for a better condition around the. They wish for the
best house, best cloth, and the best education. A very good example of this
situation can be seen in Korea. Many people now days move to Canada
because one of their relative or friend has come here to educate their children
even though children are very young. They who moved to Canada already
say that the main reason is that they want their child to study in the
best condition.
As in all, people are never satisfied with what they have because they
complain, feel jealous, and long for something that they don’t have.
Dissatisfaction, in my opinion is a great gift that god has have the
humans. Because we developed due to dissatisfaction, imagine if we
were happy with walking for days and days there would not be cars
nowadays. Nevertheless, we must be able to control our feeling of
dissatisfaction. Make sure that it does not spoil our life.
