Keeping A Pet
Keeping a pet has become very popular nowadays. This not only brings
us lots of fun, but also may cause some problems.
Raising a pet makes our life more colorful for two reasons. First, pets are
good companions. When you feel upset, they will stay with you and
listen to you. Moreover, they never complain about anything since they
can't talk. Next, pets are so clever that they can be trained to help
people. For example, dogs are loyal guards, cats are good at catching
mice, and pigeons can deliver letters for us.
On the other hand, raising a pet can also cause some troubles. First
of all, it takes a lot of time to take care of pets. You should take them
for a walk outside and give them a shower every day. If they are ill,
you have to take them to a veterinarian's. Second, when your pets
are lost or dead, you'll be very depressed. It feels like losing one of
your best friends. Third, pets usually have some kind of bacteria. If
you are bitten by a pet, you might become infected. Last, many pets
become homeless since their hosts begin to tire of them. In fact, some
people keep a pet as a consequence of fashion. When they loose their
interests and patience, they dispose of their pets easily. As a result,
more and more pets are wandering in the street and even have
become a threat to peoples' security.
However, although keeping a pet has some disadvantages, people
still like to have such company. If you spend enough time looking after
your pets, you will also enjoy the happiness they can bring to you.
