| Work Experience Benefits Students |
|
|
Experience, which is thought to be essential for a person’s future career, becomes more and more important in the current society. To accumulate sufficient experience and adequate knowledge, many students work for a certain period of time before going to university in the hope that they can fit in with the ever-changing society after graduation. As far as I am concerned, this is adoptable and practical. In the first place, work can help students widen their horizons and have new experience. For example, if you want to pursue your study in accounting in the future, it will be very helpful to be familiar with this work because work experience contributes to the awareness of this job and induces your interests. Confined to book study, students have little knowledge of the real world, which abounds in many fascinating things to be exploited. Ambling around in the real world, students can make a lot of discoveries, which are not mentioned in the textbooks or in the classroom. In the second place, work can help cultivate students’ ability to deal with difficulties and shape their personalities. As the saying goes, “No pains, no gains”. During work, students have to work hard to solve the problems facing them. They also have to endure hardship and overcome the roughs in their work. Nevertheless, nurtured in a well-off environment, students in the modern society are spoiled by their families and teachers. Difficulties in work can build up one’s perseverance and patience, which are the decisive factors leading to success Finally, work can arouse students’ interest of study. Thus, students can be aware of what they want to learn when enrolled in universities. Interest and curiosity are the driving force for students to pursue study. With an aim ahead, students will work more diligently and dedicatedly. To sum up, work experience plays an important role in students’ development, for our society needs the talents with not only solid theory foundation, but also rich experience. |
