| China's Increasing Population |
|
|
China, a big country owning the third superficial
measure, vast territory and abundant resource, is the most populous
country in the world. Until now, China has gained almost 1.3 billion
populations which is still being increasing by every second. As my point
of view, there are two main factors causing the increasing population in
China.
Secondly, people’s feudalistic ideology has also been responsible for the increasing population in China. From ancient times to the present, most Chinese are subjected to the feudalistic ideology. They usually believe that “Son is better than daughter”, “Man is more outstanding and superior than woman forever”, or “Family’s heritage can not be handed down without men.” Such feudalistic thoughts have influenced people’s ideology for thousands of years! Thanks to such an ideology, couples will not stop to have babies until they have a baby boy one day. As a result, the number of population is also increased insensibly! As the population is increasing in an astonishing speed by every second, the Chinese government has to implement a series of harsh policies to control the population. During that time, “One Child Policy” is the most famous one. This policy required that every couple is allowed to have one child only; otherwise they will be punished severely. For instance, if the couple violates this policy, they will be fined in a large amount of money, lose their job or the benefits from the government and so on. Besides, the women were forced to have a birth restriction. Even though these policies are very harsh, they are not effective at all. Because of some people’s stubborn and feudalistic mind: they tried to hide their baby daughters in different places or go to other countries to birth their next baby crisply, the government have no idea to search a real statistic of the population. So, the population is still can not be control completely in China until now. To sum up, in order to control the increasing population in China effectively, as a Chinese, I suggest we should use our new generation’s advanced mind to change this situation rather than to force the older generation to accommodate our minds. |
