Staying Up Late Causes Poor Health

A traditional Chinese, medical science textbook said that each of the body’s vital organs has a particular time for rest. This means that people should go to bed before 11:00pm because body’s vital organs will take a rest. Each organ takes two hours for the rest, and the rest will be end at 5:00am. However, most students at BCIT usually spend a lot of time on study. They often stay up in night and probably are so busy that they neglected their health.

When people stay up late or all night, they usually feel hot in their bodies. The reason why they feel hot is their organs have been strained. This body phenomenon just like overworked machine that has been working too mush can get harm.

Here are some tricks for the people who need or like to stay up:

1)  Do not eat food with high calories for a night snack. It is better to eat some fruit, bread, or light foods that are not greasy or strongly flavored.

2)  Have a vitamin B before staying up. Vitamin B can remove tiredness and strengthen immunity.

3)  Have Refreshing drink. It is better to drink green tea because people can freshen up by drink it. It also can remove the surplus free radicals in the body to Invigorate people. However, people who have difficulty in the digestive system should drink matrimony vine (or call boxthorn) tea. It can help you to relieve stress.

4)  Rinse your face before start to stay up. The dust and oil sludge will clog pores on your face, causing the growth of acne and pocks.

5)  Take a nap during the next day.

In general, it is not easy to completely restore the energy that you used when you stay up from oversleep in the next day. For this situation, I would suggest you to change back the habit of sleep time. The physiology problems of biological clock particularly are due to staying up. Working all night be come a habit, your sleeping habit will be very difficult to change. Here is a one way to change it. Whenever how late you went to bed, in the next day morning still get up at the time that you usually get up, such as 7:00am. You only can take a short nap when you feel tired. Do not go to bed to get a long nap in the daytime because it won’t help you to change your biological clock.
