Comparing MP3 and CD Players

There are many differences between MP3 players and CD players. However, both Mp3 and CD players could entertain people in the same way. I have noticed that MP3 players are about to replace CD players now. Many people would like to own MP3 players rather than CD players because MP3 players are smaller, have more space requirement and are priced.

From 20 songs up to 500 songs (depend on hardware)

12-20 songs (depend on CDs)

$60-$500

$30-$200

First of all, MP3 players are smaller and more compatible than CD players. For example, Mini iPods from Apple are very small compared to other companies’ products in the market at the moment. The length is about 2x2inches long. They’re about pocket sized. People can carry them everywhere while they are walking, or sitting on any kind of transportation. They’re very convenience and compatible. In contrast, CD players are a lot bigger. Due to this, people have to carry them around with their hands instead of putting them in the pocket. People have to be careful with CD players all the time because they can be dropped and broken. In effect, cost the some amount of money to buy a replacement.

Second, MP3 players are able to hold more songs compared to CD players. MP3 players can hold between 20 songs and 500 songs depending on hardware of their selection. For example, minis iPods from Apple start from 10 GB and increase to 40 GB, so they can hold between 200 and 500 songs. People can listen to different kinds of songs all the time without feeling bored. On the other hand, CD players can hold only between 12 and 20 songs. Also, people have to change to a different CD when feeling bored which means people have to carry many different CD discs as well. As a result, the space requirement is also one reason that makes MP3 players better than CD players.

Finally, the prices of MP3 players are competitive to CD players. There are many prices for MP3 players. People are able to spend around 250 dollars depending on the quality and space requirement of the selection. For example, Mega is not a well-known brand name which sells M around 100 dollars. Mega can hold between 20 and 30 songs.

In conclusion, I bought an MP3 player which has 128 MB. I believe that it’s a right choice for me. Nowadays MP3 players are better than CD players.
