Eun JungLee (Cayla) |
It has been my pleasure studying at BCIT. All the courses
I have taken so far, have introduced me to a different
world, called Business. It used to be a different
world, because I never studied Business before.
My name is Cayla Lee, and I am from South Korea. I lived
in Seoul before attending BCIT. I started the Business
Management Studies program at BCIT in summer of 1998.
I chose BCIT for several reasons. When I was working as
a tour guide for a short period time in Korea, I often
flew to Vancouver with my group of travelers. Vancouver
became a very familiar city to me as I guided the
travelers from South Korea.
When I was still living in Korea, I lived with my parents
and my brother. I also have a sister who has been studying
in Vancouver prior to my arrival. My life was fairly
easy for me living in Korea. However, I gave that up
to come here to study at BCIT. Some of you might wonder
why I gave up the easy life. Well, the reason is that
I really wanted to study Business, but it was really
hard to find a school like BCIT. I was looking for a
business school with a good reputation and good teaching
in practical skills used in business. After long time
of searching for a school, I finally found one, BCIT.
Since the beginning of studying at BCIT, I have been
living with a Canadian family whom I have known for
ten years. I got to know them when I was attending a
high school in Vancouver few years ago for a short
period of time. The family and I still remain very
close. I think I will always value the friendship we
have, anywhere I would live in the future.
I truly enjoy studying at BCIT. However, I would really
like to say that BCIT is not an easy place to study. So
anybody who wants to study at BCIT, MUST BE PREPARED BEFORE
ATTENDING!
