My English name is Charles. I come from Taipei, Taiwan. I chose to study at BCIT, because BCIT teaches students very strictly and I believe I can learn more through this type of educational system. I have studied in Vancouver for nine months. Vancouver is a very "international city" in Canada. I want to tell you interesting things which happened to me during my first month here.

At first, I didn't know how to classify trash! I was always confused about the trash's classification system. Compared to Taiwan, Vancouver is very successful in recycling programs. Second, human rights are superior. There are always votes for everything. Unlike Taiwan, there is more freedom in Vancouver. However, too much freedom is not a good thing. Third, the environment is super. It goes without saying, Vancouver has a very good environment. It has fresh air, clean water and etc. Forth, outdoor sports are very popular here. Soccer, basketball, baseball and skiing are favourites.
There are many well-known educational institutes in Vancouver, such as BCIT. Therefore, Vancouver is a good place to study. The good environment allows you study more. The most important thing for me is that the tuition fee is reasonable. That's why I chose to study here. Anyway, if you had a chance to visit here, you would like it too.
