Living in Vancouver

Vancouver is a beautiful city. It has so many flowers and trees that the air is flesh. You can see many birds especially crows in the sky or on streets. I think I must give you an advice. It is when you walk on a street, please be careful or you will receive a gift from the sky, which is made by a bird. Vancouver is a big city. There are lots of streets in Vancouver. Names of street can be divided into two kinds. One is a number street such as 41street and 39 street; the other one is Name Street such as Hastings and Kootenay loop. Vancouver is so big that I lost my way three times after I been to Vancouver. So don't forget to take a map with you when you go out. Transportation in Vancouver is nice. Skytrains and seabuses are convenient except buses. Most of buses are 15 minutes once; some are 30 minutes once. So if you didn't check the time in bus timetable before you go out to take a bus, you should waiting for a long time usually. I think it is ok if it happen in summer, but in winter, it is an easy way to catch cold. So don't forget to take a bus timetable with you when you go out.

The buildings in Vancouver can be classified into three types: skyscrapers, apartments and houses. Most apartments are in the West Vancouver but most houses are in North Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond. Most skyscrapers are in Downtown Vancouver.

Vancouver isn't a good place to shopping because most of goods are too expensive for me. You must pay 7% PST and 7% GST when you buy some goods. But lots of foods needn't plus PST and GST. So most of foods are cheap. If you want to go shopping in Vancouver, you can go to Metrotown, Brentwood Mall or Downtown. If you want to buy some Chinese goods or eat some Chinese foods, you can go to China town or Richmond.

In a word, Vancouver is a nice place to live. If I can, I want to live in Vancouver forever.
