I chose to study in Vancouver, because it is a city full
of beautiful environment, mixed cultures, and interesting
outdoor activities.
The city has a very beautiful and natural landscape. Mountains
are located on the North with white summits all year long.
There are many harbors and beaches along the pacific coast
and Frazer River. There are also many hills around the city
with fine houses and green trees. It is a good place to reside
at for people who love nature views.
Different cultures are mixed in this city. There are people
from different countries using different languages here. I
have made friends from different countries, including Japan,
Korean, Mexico, Switzerland, Thailand, and Indonesia. I like
to taste different kinds of food. Chinese restaurants, Japanese
restaurants, Thai cuisine, or Mexican food can be found on
the street.
There are a variety of outdoor activities that people can do
here. In the winter, skiing and snowboarding are very popular.
There are some nice places can do these sports, like Grouse
Mountain and Cypress Bowl. I started to snowboard last
winter. I found that it was so exciting and I would like to
try it again. During the summer time, roller-blading is
very popular. Many people play it on the street or parks.
The Stanley Park is a good place for roller-blade players
because of the long rout beside the water.
These characters make this city unique and attractive. I
enjoy living here very much.
