BCIT, UBC, and YMCA are three institutes that I attended for learning English in Vancouver. UBC E.L.I is a famous institute in Vancouver for learning higher level English. UBC E.L.I is located in West Vancouver inside the University of British Columbia. Compared to BCIT, the campus is full of studying atmosphere. This doesn't mean that BCIT doesn't well in studying, just because it focuses on job opportunity, so they need to teach their students how to use equipment. The length of each term at UBC E.L.I is 12 weeks, and it will cost you CDN$ 3,200. At UBC E.L.I, there are 150 students in each term in average, so you have chances to make more friends. The educational propose is to help you enter any undergraduate or graduate programs. The requirement of the institute is not very heavy; you can have some fun here.

The YMCA is a institute that only for fun. YMCA is located in downtown inside an office building, one street next to Robson. Students who study at this institute are just for fun. They are willing to have some life and study experience in Vancouver only, so the educational propose of this institute is giving students lots of fun. It is really very easy to pass every subject. Student number at this school is around 80 people. The school fee is CDN$850 per four weeks. You can go shopping or do any activity everyday after school because they almost have no homework for you.
